Project (Love) Bench Therapy

Is your marriage in need of healing? Are you ever bored because of the same old routine? Work, home, church, shopping and repeat. No fun, it’s time to spice it up.

This past Christmas my husband surprised me with some wonderful gifts. I got me a beautiful throw with all our children, grands, our names and other words that describe our family like faith and love. I love practical gifts. He also got us dance lessons. This was a beautiful surprise because it took him out of his comfort zone and gave us a reason to grow even closer. He’s a great dancer too.

Today, I went to Lowe’s and purchased some wood. We wanted to make an entry bench for our residence because we take off our shoes when we come home. So, we worked on our bench tonight. The wood was already cut in the correct dimensions so all we had to do is put it together with screws.

This wasn’t as easy as it sounds but it was a project we worked on together to accomplish. The bench came out well not perfect but it is an object we will see and use everyday that reminds us how we can work together.

Changing your routine by working together Is free therapy except for the cost of some wood, glue and nails. Also, you may learn how to do the Waltz.

You actually make it appear so easy with your presentation but I to find this matter to be actually something which I think I’d never understand. It kind of feels too complex and very large for me. I’m having a look forward for your next post, I will try to get the grasp of it!

    1. Alex, I didn’t include the entire experience of building it. My husband and I discussions because I was only interested in expressing how taking on a project is good therapy for couples. Thanks for comment. I will try to be more detailed on my next post.

You actually make it appear so easy along with your presentation however I in finding this topic to be actually one thing which I feel I’d by no means understand. It sort of feels too complex and extremely wide for me. I am looking forward in your subsequent submit, I’ll try to get the grasp of it!
